Happenings & Dublin City Council have teamed up to bring you Dead Poets Society in Merrion Square this Thursday. Get ready to grab the picnic blankets, share the love and get the gang together on the grass!!
It's another 'Fiver Flick', (yes, that means it's still only €5 in) donations from the event are going to the mental health organizations involved, Pieta House and Headstrong. We will also have some words on the issues from Tony Bates of founder of Headstrong.
With the tragic passing of a true legend Robin Williams, we think its time to open up the conversation on mental health. Their is no shame in seeking help, it only proves your strength. Please talk to someone. If you feel you can't talk to friends and family, The Samaritans will take your call any time day or night on 116 123 or contact Pieta http://www.pieta.ie/
No Alcohol: As Merrion Square is a public park this is a completely alcohol-free event.
There will be lots of delicious food and drinks on sale from Vintage Flair nobó, Caryna's Cakes and Irish Village Markets
Film will begin when it gets dark from around 9.30pm - please be aware of this if bringing children or using public transport.
These events in Merrion Square are Alcohol-Free events - please do not bring alcohol.
We operate a strict 'leave no trace' policy so please remember to take everything home. There will be no bins at the event and we will give you a plastic bag in which you can take your rubbish home, please keep this in mind.
