We are delighted to be part of the all new redstablesfestival.ie aptly named Stable Ground. A festival connecting food, nature and sustainability through a series of talks, demos and tours, and a celebration of local food and producers in the surroundings of St Anne's Park. We are in the middle of an environmental breakdown and need to act accordingly. these screenings and this festival are about spreading that awareness.
The second of our two FREE screenings is the award winning documentary Thank you for the Rain at 6pm. ( The first is The Lorax and is at 3pm ) We will be on the grass beside the carpark at the Red Stables for these daytime screenings, all welcome!
Kisilu, a Kenyan farmer, started to use his camera to capture the life of his family, his village and the damages of climate change. When a violent storm throws him and a Norwegian filmmaker together we see him transform from a father, to community leader to an activist on the global stage.
Thank You For The Rain addresses a range of issues linked to climate change, including climate justice, urbanization, gender equality, education, access to water, climate refugees, and adaptation.
