Happenings are delighted to bring a special open-air cinema screening of In America to Swords Castle this March as part of the spectacular St. Patrick's Festival Ireland in partnership with Fingal County Council.

In America follows an immigrant Irish family's struggle to start a new life in New York City, as seen through the eyes of the elder daughter. To begin all over again is a classic American dream. But it is remarkably hard to do, as Irish immigrants Johnny and Sarah discover when they hit New York City, with their two spunky young daughters, in the mid-1980s. In pursuit of a dream, the family uses ingenuity and sheer strength of will to make the most of their new life - encountering many struggles and array of characters along the way.

This is sure to be a memorable evening under the stars in the beautiful surrounds of the newly renovated medieval Swords Castle.

Please be sure to wrap up warm and wear weatherproof clothing. Some seating will be provided, but advisable to bring your own!

Food, coffee and yummy treats will be available on the night from Irish Village Markets

Gates are open from 7.00pm with the film kicking off at 7:30pm
