Happenings and Coillte are delighted to razzle dazzle you with The Greatest Showman! This enchanting film tells the story of circus master P.T Barnum. Barnum struggled from a humbled background as a tailor's son to become the ringmaster behind the "Greatest Show on Earth". This musical brings down the house with a beautiful score, explores the magic of the circus and is perfect for a night of open air cinema under the stars!

Join us on Summer Solstice, Friday 21st June, in the beautiful Avondale House & Gardens, Co. Wicklow as we host The Greatest Show on Earth, right here in The Garden of Ireland!

Gates are open from 8pm with the film kicking off approx 9pm. The movie will be due to finish at 10.30pm, so it'll still be daylight.

We will be slashing our emissions by having battery and solar technology powering all our energy needs for this event. Meaning you get to breath the lovely fresh air of the woodlands and not dirty smoke from a diesel generator. So for everything from the screen, lights and traders, we will be off gird with no emissions - its a small piece but it shows it can be done so easily.

This will be a Leave-No-Trace event. This means that you, the audience will be active participants in preserving this beautiful woodlands and keeping it clean. Bins will be provided.

There will be teas, coffees, sweet and savoury treats on for sale.
