Happenings in association with the Dublin Climate Action Regional Office (CARO) and DLR County Council are proud to bring you this FREE screening of ‘Our Planet’. This event is solar and battery powered, all of our power can be from cleaner renewables!! Its outdoors celebrating our miraculous environment and how precious it is. It is also in support of actions outlined in the Council’s Climate Change Action Plan (https://dublinclimatechange.codema.ie/), which works towards fighting the escalating issues of Climate Change and Bio Diversity collapse. Roll on the 20th and The Global Strike for Climate Action, which are central to an all of society response to climate action.

We are delighted to bring you this years most important documentary - We will screen the first episode of Our Planet, an 8 part documentary series focusing on the breadth of the diversity of habitats around the world, from the remote Arctic wilderness and mysterious deep oceans to the vast landscapes of Africa and diverse jungles of South America.

This series, narrated by David Attenborough, addresses issues of conservation while featuring these disparate animals in their respective home regions, and has been noted for its greater focus on humans' impact on the environment than traditional nature documentaries; centering around how climate change impacts all living creatures.

Climate change is the biggest threat to our planet and we must act.

Join us on Saturday the 14th of September in Blackrock Park. We are open from 7.30pm with the film kicking off approx 8.15pm. The documentary will be due to finish at 9.30pm. This will be a Leave-No-Trace event. This means that you, the audience will be active participants in preserving this beautiful park and keeping it clean. Bins will be provided. There will be teas, coffees, sweet and savoury treats available, all from vendors that adhere to sustainability practices. As such, please bring along your own re-useable water bottles, tea/coffee cups, to minimise waste arising from the event. This will also be a plastic free event.

See you on the grass!
