Sensinema presents: The Cartoon Saloon Double Bill The Secret of Kells Saturday 26 September 2026

St Anne's Park, Raheny - By Red Stable Carpark 3pm – 5.30pm Film begins at 4.00pm

Following the opening screening of Song of the Sea, Sensinema continues with a second magical afternoon celebrating the extraordinary work of Cartoon Saloon.

Join us in the beautiful surroundings of St Anne's Park for an outdoor screening of the Academy Award®-nominated The Secret of Kells—a visually spectacular adventure inspired by Ireland's mythology, art and history. Rich in colour, imagination and Celtic design, it is one of the defining works of modern Irish animation and a perfect film to experience beneath the open sky.

Arrive from 3pm to enjoy the relaxed festival atmosphere with some pre screening entertainment, refreshments from The Olive Cafe, or you can bring what you need to eat and drink, and also bring what you need to sit on, so you are comfortable.

As with every Sensinema event, all audience members will receive wireless headphones with individually adjustable volume controls, while a gentle low-level PA system will provide an alternative listening option. The event has been carefully designed to create a calm, low-arousal environment with quiet spaces, relaxed audience policies and an emphasis on comfort, accessibility and shared enjoyment.

Sensinema explores how outdoor cinema can become more welcoming, more inclusive and more responsive to the sensory needs of audiences without losing the magic of watching great films together.

Presented by Happenings and Neuroconvergence.

Supported by Screen Ireland's Audience Development Fund.

With the generous support of Cartoon Saloon, who have donated the screening rights for both films. Ticket proceeds will support participating neurodiversity charities.
